T-Square at Georgia Tech
T-Square is the Collaboration and Learning Environment (CLE), based on the code produced by the Sakai open source community, of which Georgia Tech is a leading member.
T-Square is both a product and an ongoing project - one with the aim of bringing both relevance and coherence to the online support of Georgia Tech's teaching, learning, and research missions. The project will seek to engage the broader community as participants in the development, while development priorities will be established by a faculty committee.
T-Square instructor for Fall 2007 David Smith, .M.Sc., College of Computering has participated in several pilots to help choose a CLE. He suffered nobly during those early phases. This fall David has the largest class in T-Square that is vigorously using a variety of tools. His input to the T-Square Team, his patience (amazing), and his good humor have helped us pinpoint several important issues (and fix them). He also continues to help us test new features and patches. The T-Square Team which includes personnel from EdTEch (Educational Technology), OIT (Office of Information Technology), QA (Quality Assurance), and CETL (Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning) extend a huge THANK YOU to David for helping us to make T-Square better and to seek to meet the needs of all instructors and students in the Georgia Tech community.
