Development priorities in future will be identified by a faculty priorities committee (which is still forming), but initial feedback and schedule constraints urge the following for the next 6 months.

Fourth Quarter '07:

• WebCT migration: WebCT will not be available for new courses beginning in the Spring term, and so the primary priority is to make that transition go as smoothly as possible. Tools have been developed to support this, and further effort will go into improving them.
• Conditional Release: this will allow instructors to set further logical conditions on the availability of site content, based on gradebook values (e.g. a passing score on a quiz reveals the next lesson in a self-paced unit).
• Gradebook publication: this will allow grades to be pushed back to Banner from the gradebook in T-Square (i.e. a spreadsheet will not need to be downloaded)
• Evaluation of New community tools for January deployment. These are being developed by other institutions, and we may adopt a few where they seem helpful. Early candidates include a tool for viewing site events and statistics, and an improved blog tool.
• Collect Feedback, Feature Requests: we are committed to development based on expressed needs, and we are gathering feedback and feature requests in an ongoing way.

Assess Sakai Community Direction at December Sakai Conference

• Sakai partner institutions are gathering in San Diego in December, and we will be looking for strategic partnerships and projects to supplement based on our own needs and the planned activity of other schools.

First Quarter '08:

The below deliverables are based on an early assessment of current need. While they represent an educated guess as to where development effort should be allocated, they will need to be further informed by the faculty priorities committee and conversations with our Sakai partners.

• Assignments : two-way communication between the assignments and gradebook tools needs to be improved
• SiteStats tool: for reporting on Site usage and activity for instructors.
• Other Projects as identified by Priorities Committee

Summer '08:

• Upgrade to Sakai 2.5 + local customizations
